The Gran Hotel Son Net is hidden away in the Tramontana Mountains on the island of Mallorca. It takes around 30 mins to drive from Palma airport to the hotel.
The hotel is located in an ancient finca which dates back to the 17th century. It is an absolutely beautiful building, set in picturesque grounds.
Upon arrival our bags were whisked away to our room and we were taken outside onto the terrace overlooking the countryside. The hotel has its own vineyard and we were given a glass of their house Cava to enjoy.
Throughout the hotel you can appreciate works of art by Hockney and Andy Warhol.
The hotel has 2 restaurants. At Oleum you can dine outside on a large terrace overlooking the grounds. It has a more sophisticated menu displaying a selection of seasonal Mallorcan dishes.
Gazebo is the more informal restaurant and is only open during the Summer months. It is ‘poolside’ and overlooks the Puigpunyent Valley.
The hotel offers a wide variety of amenities and activities including beauty treatments, horse riding and cycling. You can find me poolside catching the rays with a cocktail!
